Performing Arts STUDIO is a platform for embodied artistic research with the purpose of developing and sharing knowledge and experience within dance, choreography and performing arts.
It is connected to New Education for Contemporary Dance (NEFCD) and all the projects that take place will be performed under the same.
Performing Arts STUDIO offers performances for schools as well as public performances.
Our performances are almost always for free of cost and as environmentally friendly as possible.
This means that MOST performances will not use stage lighting, no newly bought or created costumes, minimal sets and minimal traveling.
Performing Arts STUDIO also takes on commissions to teach in schools or to create works or performances.
Performing Arts STUDIO even facilitates space and time for artists in need of a residency and will organize courses for professional dancers and people from the community in coöperation with Härnösands folkhögskola.
